Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in the year 1992, and started her studies in marine science at Alaska Pacific University, Anchorage. Bossard launched her career as a seafood commercial worker in 1999. Bossard began working with the ship F/V Sunset an a65' halibut-schooner and was later converted into a Salmon tender, for Murat Aritan who worked in commercial fishing since. Bossard and Aritan are now married and have come together to claim their place in their business. They support conservative, profitable management of renewable seafood resources. Otolith was established by Philadelphia through Bella Bossard who is now mother to two kids with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. She and her husband are separated by 5 months plus more to allow her to concentrate on her goals in terms of finances and her environmental goals. Bossard along with her two children Andre 10 and Isabella 12 make their annual return in Southeast Alaska as deckhands to catch wild salmon in summer. With a small 42 troller Bossards are able to capture salmon with hooks. Then they work alongside Aritan at a local processing plant for two weeks.
